Are the graphs of the lines in the pair parallel? Explain. y = 5x + 6 –18x + 3y = –54

You'd want to solve for the second one to get the slope. Although there is a way of doing it with ax + by = c, I forgot it. So 18x + 54 = 3y 6x + 18 = Y They are not parallel, since they have different slopes.

I think it's as simple as -b/a?
