What is the domain of the function? y = √5x - 10 (The square root symbol extends over the "5x - 10") a.) x >= -2 b.) x <= -2 c.) x >= 2 d.) x <= 2 Thank you! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey! Since you can't have a negative number under the radical(Not unless you use imaginary numbers), you can simply solve for the equation 0 <= 5x-10 10<= 5x 2<= x The answer is C! X has to be greater than or equal to 2 in order to get an answer for Y.
