I would start by finding the vertex. I forgot how to do that though. I'm not sure if it's just the y-intercept (0,-3)?

Since we don't have an x term ( x to the first power ),
we don't have a horizontal shift.

It's x squared, so it's a parabola, yes?
So it's just a bowl shape.

Since the x squared term is negative, the bowl opens downward, so it's more like a hat I guess. And the 2 makes it grow faster, so it will be narrower.
