What is the purpose of genetic engineering? introducing new physiological characteristics pushing the boundaries of ethics creating new diseases none of the above This question confuses me slightly because I am pretty sure this is all based off opinion...Im guessing it is none of the above but i would like another opinion.

I am pretty sure it is "introducing new physiological characteristic." The other ones don't make sense. Why would a scientist use genetic engineering just for morals? Also they would use engineering to prevent diseases on future offspring not create. So the first one and for example they use genetic engineering to create hypoallergenic cats.
