OpenStudy (joemarket):

it takes 8 machines to do one job in 6 days. How many machines does it take to do the same job in 4 hours? I got 288, I just need someone to check!!! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 days = 36 times of 4 hours. So if you would need 8 machines to be done in 6 days, then to be done 36 times faster you will need 36 times more cars.

OpenStudy (joemarket):

so 288, right? That's kinda how I worked it out 8 machines take 144 hours to do 1 job. You want to do the job in 1/36th the time (4 hours) so you have to add 36 times as much machines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I am thinking to, but I had a doubt, b/c the number is kind of wierd.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 machines can do one job in 6 days 8 machines can thus do 1/6 th of a job in 1 day 8 machines can thus do 1/6 x 1/6 of a job or 1/36th of a job in 4 hours But we need 36 times that. So yeah...8 x 36 = your answer...

OpenStudy (joemarket):

THANKS GUYS! :D
