King had been criticized by a group of local clergy asking him to tone down his protest. King wrote Letter as a response. He not only addressed there concerns but called them to action. It's a masterpiece of American rhetoric. Hey logically lays out his reasoning and ends with an eloquent plea to all pastors, all Christians. all people of good will to join in the movement.
