The rectangular pool at the Peabody is 27 feet wide. To put border tile around the pool the contractor would need 134 feet of tile? How many feet long is the pool?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the length is 40

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

so technically you are given the perimeter and need to find the length 134=2l+2(27) 134=2l+54 80=2l l=40 so the length of the pool is 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if it asks for feet its the same right.

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

same thing 40 ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
