1 Glucose = 36 ATP 18 carbon fatty acid = 146 ATP Alanine = 34 ATP Serine = Alanine Theronine = Glycine = Alanine And pretty much every other amino acid gives the same amount as the others I have listed. I am making a eukaryotic totipotent cell from its molecular components and so here is the question: After the ATP injection before the action potential and natural ion flow how is my cell most likely going to get ATP? A. Glucose B. Other sugars converted to glucose C. Fatty Acids D Amino Acids

Hmmm hard choice but i'm sure it's not C or D, it may most likely be B but it also might be A, but if I had to wager, i'd say B.

Why would you say that is is most likely to be other sugars converted to glucose instead of glucose itself as far as ATP production?

Because i'm not sure, but I would go for B.

I mean that the ATP injection plus the natural ion flow makes my cell come to life and then it revs up ATP production so that it can survive and I am asking how my cell is most likely going to rev up that ATP production. I know that it partially depends on the culture medium the cell is in but naturally in our bodies here are the priorities of energy: 1st priority: Glucose 2nd Priority: Fatty acids 3rd Priority: Amino acids 4th Priority: Possibly other metabolites I have my cell in a culture medium that is similar to the interstitial fluid between cells.
