log(10-4x)=log(10-3x)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Hello! Since all we see is the log operator, we may assume that the base of this log system is 10. An extremely important property of inverse functions is that one "ondoes" the other. Here, specifically \[y=10^{\log~x}=x, and \log 10^{x}=x also.\]

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Based upon this, try simplifying \[10^{\log(10-4x)}.\]
