which ordered pair is a solution of the equation y=3x a.(-2,-9) b.(-8,-18) c. (-8,-3) d. (-10,-30)

OpenStudy (paki):

First things first, an ordered pair is written as (x,y)... To find a pair which satisfies this equation, plug the x value of the ordered pair into y=3x in the x position... If the y value you get doesn't match what is given in the ordered pair, try another... In this case, the answer is (-10,30)... as y=3*-10=-30 y=-30 when x is -10... @sweetblayne
