could someone explain in a simple for what quadratic formulas are?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

a quadratic formula is basically a solution to the quadratic equation \(\huge ax^2+bx+c=0\) where you isolate, or solve for x. The quadratic formula is given below. \(\Huge x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\)

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

note that there can actually be TWO solutions to the quadratic, because of the plus minus symbol. It all depends on the stuff inside the square root.
