Which of the following inequalities matches the graph? graph of an inequality with a solid horizontal line through the origin and shading below the line x less than or greater to 0 x greater than or equal to 0 y less than or greater to 0 y greater than or equal to 0
Which of the following inequalities matches the graph? graph of an inequality with a dashed vertical line through the point (-3, 0) with shading to the left of the line x > -3 x < -3 y > -3 y < -3
Which of the following inequalities matches the graph? graph of an inequality with a solid line through the points (0, -2) and (2, 1) with shading above the line 3x - 2y greater than or equal to 4 3x - 4y less than or greater to 2 3x - 2y less than or greater to 4 The correct inequality is not listed.
@YanaSidlinskiy
Do you know anything about graphs?
i know how to plot points
Lets start with the second question. Since it gives you the points already (-3,0) Where will the Points be? X-axis or the Y-axis?
y
wait no x
Correct! Now you can rule out all the y's. Since it is on the x-axis Which way do the negatives go? Remember: The x line is horizontal! Which way do they go? < or >?
above?
No. I just said. Which way do the negatives go, on the x-axis? Left or right?
left
Yes. So the answer would be?? y<-3
can you help with the first and third
For the #3 I think you can do this one on your own. You have to plot the points and find out what the slope is. Rise over run. If it doesn't have the answer that you got, then you pick that the answer is not listed:)
Can you walk me through it tho, you really helped on the 2nd.
For number 1, Since it says "horizontal" it gives it right away. You can now rule out all the Y's! Why? Because it goes up and down. Since I gave you the y, can you figure out if it's greater than or equal to?
so its D
Yep!!!:) You are correct!!
I have 3 l3ft can you still help with those or do you have to go
left
Well. I guess I can help you all the way..But just maybe like for 30 minutes.
The non-profit organization you volunteer for is throwing a fundraiser cook out. You are in charge of buying the hamburgers, which cost three dollars per pound and hotdogs, which cost two dollars per pound. The meat budget you are given totals six hundred dollars. The inequality 3x + 2y less than or greater to 600 represents the possible combinations of pounds of hamburgers (x) and hotdogs (y) you can buy. graph of the inequality 3 x plus 2 y is less than or equal to 600 Which of the following represents a solution to the inequality? 200 pounds of hamburgers and 140 pounds of hotdogs 150 pounds of hamburgers and 60 pounds of hotdogs 100 pounds of hamburgers and 240 pounds of hotdogs 240 pounds of hamburgers and 40 pounds of hotdogs
