Describe how eukaryotic cells chromosomes change as a cell prepares to divide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Eukaryotic cells duplicate their chromosomes in equal paires as a cell prepares to divide. You have 5 stages, PMAT -- Prophase (nuclear envelope disappears and spindle fibers form), Metaphase (chromosomes meat in the middle with spindle fibers attached), Anaphase (spindle fibers pull chromosomes in equal halves), Telephase (spindle fibers disappear and nuclear envelope reappears), then Cytokineses (splitting of the cell)
