how to started a conclusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To start a conclusion, you can re-cap the rest of your essay. Then you can re-state your main idea.

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

How about just stating your conclusion boldly and then finish with a call to action. Something like: Chunky peanut butter is the worst product on the market. As I've shown you, the fact that it makes everybody gag, working conditions for the chunkers who make it are terrible. Join me in the fight to stamp out this modern evil. When your standing in the supermarket peanut spread aisle and the choice is before you remember what you've learned in this essay, reach out and pick up a jar of creamy peanut butter. Leave the chunky there to rot. A grateful peanut butter worker will thank you.

Sure, that works fine! Haha, my idea was just a suggestion. c: That is a lovely conclusion!

It's just a suggestion too. But then I get bored of writing the same old formula. I think teachers probably don't write that way. Why do they teach that way. I've never seen a 5 paragraph essay in the New York Times. Or eve the Podunk Press.
