The square cover of a children’s book has an area of 144 square inches. What is the length of one side of the cover? medal for answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of square's formula is \[A=s ^{2}\] Using this you plug in your known area which is 144. Now you will have \[144=s ^{2}\] Do you know how to use basic algebra to solve from here?
