What was weakened by the outcome of the Vietnam War?

Are there any choices? If not, I'd probably say that it damaged American prestige in the world's eyes. There was a lot of disillusionment over the Vietnam War in general by the time it finally ended inside the US, but it was also used as a propaganda victory by the communists and their allies.

I'd also say trust was weakened inside America; especially for the vets and their family to their own country. The war brought on a big wave of unrest. Politicians were being caught in misleading scandals. No one trusted the president and his position; the government in a whole was in a rough position
