Gold was discovered in the Black Hills, and that was a source of conflict. But to say it was discovered by the Lakota wouldn't be accurate. That looks like a trick. Treaty violations happened all the time, but it wasn't the Lakota doing the violating. Lakota never attacked farms. So I'd go with C even though all tribes were pretty much hostile to the US at the time.
