OpenStudy (jamanorthi):

three pair of gloves are replaced in a jar. a customer choose two at a time. what is the probability that the both one is right and the other is left??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/6

OpenStudy (jamanorthi):

well how??

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

3/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are 6 gloves in the jar. you are pulling 2 out. that is 2/6

OpenStudy (jamanorthi):

but both a left and a right gloves

OpenStudy (jamanorthi):

and 3/6 in the probability of rights gloves and also the probability of the left since they have same amount of chance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

half the gloves are right. but there is just as much of a possibility of 2 lefts as there is of getting 2 rights.

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

It's not asking you how much gloves you are pulling out...

OpenStudy (jamanorthi):

well alright thanks guys :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says you are pulling out 2 at a time.

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

What is the probability that a right glove and a left glove will be BOTH out.
