Which of these statements best explains why the difference between summer and winter temperatures is greater in Russia than in Florida? Florida has shorter seasons because it is more towards the west of the globe. Florida is situated closer to the tropic of cancer which receives more constant and direct rays of the sun. Russia is situated closer to the North Pole which is tilted more towards the sun.
