what affect does the ''a'' value have on the function f(x)=log(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is the "a"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

If there really is no a in this function, then really there is no effect of a on the function... change a from 2 to 4, f(x) has no a-values to change so it is the same. I would suspect maybe this was the case? \( f(x) = \log_a x \) In which case, the change-of-base formula might clue you in on what the a-value does.
