What's a sine function with a period greater than the period for y=5sin(Ø/2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = A sin (@/n) n>2.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

\[y=A \sin Bx\] The period is given by: \[T=\frac{2 \pi}{B}\] Therefore for the function \[y=5\sin (\frac{\phi}{2})\] The period T is given by \[T=\frac{2 \pi}{\frac{1}{2}}=4 \pi\] Therefore if the coefficient of the angle phi is less than 1/2, T will be greater than 4pi.
