prove that gamma half is equal to the square root of pi.

OpenStudy (zarkon):

\[\Gamma\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)=\sqrt{\pi}\]

OpenStudy (zarkon):

the proof depends on what you are allowed to use. If you can use the Gaussian distribution then the proof is easy. If you can't, then you can use the same technique used to show that the Gaussian distribution is a true distribution to obtain the proof.
