OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

How do you work out the stability constant please? Thank you!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

stability constant of?

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

ehmm, the definition I have is: 'the stability constant of a complex ion is the equilibrium constant for the formation of the complex ion from its constituent ions in solution' I don't know if this helps, sorry!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

ohh okay. you would calculate it like a equilibrium constant, constant=\(\dfrac{prod}{reactants}\).

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Thank you so much!!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no problem ! there's more on it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stability_constants_of_complexes
