Lemme show ya. To find cosine, we'd better keep in mind that: Cosine = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse. Let's take a look at this little beauty of a triangle, shall-ee? The side adjacent Angle A is 3. And in this right triangle, we know that the hypotenuse is 5 cm, because it's the longest side. So let's plug in what we know. While: Cosine = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse, Then: Cosine of A: (3 / 5).
