How does the structure of this verse influence the poem? (from “The Snow Storm” by Ralph Waldo Emerson) The increasing line lengths enhance the mood of the verse. The increasing line lengths help to build up the emotion expressed in the verse. The increasing line lengths enhance the vividness of the imagery in the verse. The increasing line lengths enhance the sound of the verse.

Well, if you think about it, and read the next few lines, you'll hear "Speeding, the myriad-handed, his wild work So fanciful, so savage, nought cares he For number or proportion." basically, it enchances the vivid feeling to the poem, gives people a sense of what he's talking about.
