Yes, I'm pretty sure...it's similar to the how you find the rate of change.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh okay thank you so much.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
one more thing. would you mind explaining how you got that as your answer?
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
Okay...
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
10=50 20=68 30=86 40=?

Since the number goes up 10/16 you can add 16 and 86 to get 104.
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
Does this make any sense?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
It was a little bit hard to explain...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah, but i understand it, thanks

What is it?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How many solutions does the system of equations have?
2y=-2x+14
x+y=6
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
This has no solutions.

Ohh ok, but how do you do it like step by step? If you can/wanna show me..please ?
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
x+y=6 Take one of the equations and subtract x or y.
-x -x
y=6-x Now you have y by itself
2(6-x)=-2x+14 Plug in 6-x into y of the other equation that you have not used.
12-2x=-2x+14 Then distribute.
12-2x=-2x+14 Now subtract 12 from both sides.
-12 -12
-2x=-2x+2
-2x=-2x+2 Add 2x to both sides and you are left with 0x=2.
+2x +2x
If you ever have 0 like 0x or 0y then that means that there are no solutions.
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
Does this help?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yess, Thank-you alott !
