Use addition or substitution to find the value of x for this set of equations. x + y = 14 x = 6y

Since you already have x equaling something in the second equation, I think substitution would be easier. Where you see x in the first equation, write what x is equal to in the second equation. Then solve for y. Once you have y, substitute in the second equation to find x.
