Is it the main character, a villain, or a supporting character?

If it is the main character and your story is first person you can describe how the main character feels as he or she is dying. If it is the villain describe how he or she is dying in the eyes of the main character. You could include that "Their evil seemed to fill the air as the last breath left his/her lips." If it is a supporting character you could do the same, but nicer.

Then reflect on how he or she affected the main character's life and if he or she will be missed. If a villain dies then you could even include how the main character feels about his or her passing in a good or bad way.
