Question

I have a mixture of gunk from a beach. I have to somehow get all the salt, sand, rocks and seaweed out of the water and end up with pure no salt sand rocks or seaweedy water. How do I get the salt out? Evaporating doesn't work.

why doesn't evaporation work to get the salt out? collect the vapors of water and they should be pure
