We have a triangle and some angles, so using trigonometry would be helpful. If we consider the angle at B, the side b is opposite to it, and c is the hypotenuse. The trig function that relates those two is the sine function, sin(x). If we take the sine of 62°, it equals the opposite side, b, over the hypotenuse, c. sin(62°) = b / c. We need to solve for b, so we isolate it by multiplying both sides by c. c * sin(62°) = b. But we know c! It's given to be 24. So, b = 24 * sin(62°). One can use a calculator to evaluate it from here.
