If A = (8, 2) B = (11, 13) and C = (2, 6), classify the the following triangle as either right or isosceles. @Onlymaths

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Graph the points. What do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Calculate AB, BC and CA. If, any two are equal then it is an isosceles triangle.

Hint use distance formula

OpenStudy (paki):

u have 3 sides AB,BC,CA to check if its isoceles.. find the lenght of the three side and find if u have 2 matches... to check if its right find the dot product 3 times when its zero that mean its right... AB.AC BC.BA CA.CB |AB|=sqrt 130 |BC|=sqrt 130 |CA|=sqrt 52... so here no one is zero... so its an isoceles triangle...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AB=sqrt130 Bc=sqrt130 CA=sqrt52. So,it is an isosceles triangle.
