So since 'x' would be the number of tablets sold...and they tell you they sold 2320 tablets...All you do is plug in (2320) in for 'x' \[\large p(x) = 38(2320) - 44500\]

i used the monthly profit function for the tablets to determine the company's profit for selling 2,320 tablets in a month. \[p(2320)=38(2320)-44500\] \[=88160-44500\] \[=43660\] FireCore made a one month profit of $43,660.00.
