The answer in 1. is correct, there are 3 ways to get to the stop, and then every of the three ways can be combined with 5 different routes. 3x5 = 15.

In 2. the order DOES matter so there's a formula to calculate that. I believe it is 4*3*2*1 for the 4 books, and 6*5*4*3*2*1 for the 6 books. The reason being that first you can start 6 different configurations, when the first book is gone, you only have 5 remaining configurations for the second spot, and so on. 6! - 4! = 720 - 24 = 696
In 4., it doesn't matter in which order the singers are chosen not sure how you convert that to choosing and such :)
