Which is not an advantage of using a histogram to represent data? A. vertical axis is a frequency count B. visually strong C. cannot read exact values because data is grouped into categories D. ability to see the skew of a data set

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

I think its a because in a histogram the area of the rectangles is proportional to the frequency not the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm. so. I'm thinking it's C. since it doesnt sound like much of an advantage.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

'm not entirely sure what is meant by "mathematical term," but histograms (or bar charts) are frequently used in statistics as a visual representation of the distribution of values in a data set. The advantage is that histograms provide a quick visual check that the assumption of normality has been met.

Its C :) thank you all for the explanation
