Point A is located at (0, 4) and point C is located at (−3, 5). Find the x value for point B that is located one over four the distance from point A to point C. −0.25 −0.5 −0.75 −1 @Onlymaths

Alright, well, the first thing I note here is that I've got to focus primarily on the x-value. This means that we'll concentrate on our given x-coordinates: 0, and -3. We're looking for a value that's (1/4) of the distance from A to C. Therefore, we multiply the second x-coordinate by (1/4) and add that resulting value to (the first x-coordinate)(3/4). The finished result is -3/4, or -0.75 in the choices. ^_^
