OpenStudy (calculusxy):

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

@phi

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I don't get this question at all.

OpenStudy (phi):

they want you to figure out how many 1 inch cubes and ⅛ inch cubes there are and add them up to get the volume.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Can you help me please?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Is it \[57 \frac{ 3 }{ 4 }\]?

OpenStudy (phi):

you can see 2 little cubes are as wide as 1 big cube. count the number of little cubes going "into the page"

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I don't get this. But first, can you tell me if it is 57 3/4?

OpenStudy (phi):

I have not counted up the cubes.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

It's fine. Um... so what do you mean by counting the # of little cubes going "into the page".

OpenStudy (phi):

the shape is height, width and depth (into the page) we need to figure out the depth... just counting the big blocks we see width 5, height 3 we need the depth

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Can you please tell me the answer? I have to go... Only this time :)
