Two similar trapezoids have areas of 180 cm^2 and 45 cm^2. What is their ratio of similarity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've never heard of this ratio of similarity before, but I presume it's found by just dividing 180/45 = 4. This can be thought of as a scaling factor. Like you're stretching out the smaller trapezoid but maintaining its proportions.

Well one of my choices is 4:1 is that the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup that would be it. It basically says that 180 is 4 times as large as 45 is. 45 * 4 = 180.

Thanks can you help me with another one?
