Sure. What line in the passage suggests that, may I ask? I thought that the main focus of the passage was to criticize the clergy's sycophantic, shallow-minded, grovelling yet swaggering behavior.

I'm looking mainly at Lines 3-8. I can't seem to find a line that expresses the opinion that the princes deserve their riches. But I see a substantial amount of evidence that shows Erasmus's disdain for the clergy.
