How would you calculate the impulse and final velocity of a basketball when chest pass is done? The values you are given is: length of the arm stretched, time it took through follow through, and time it took for the basketball to land. Oh of course also a mass of a basketball

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

unless the chest pass was straight up into the air, ie no horizontal component, you do not have enough information to answer this as you have presented it. because the amount of time taken to hit the deck is independent of horizontal velocity.
