Graph the six terms of a finite series where a1 = -3 and r = 1.5.
If there is an r, that stands for ratio, meaning the series is geeometric
I posted the answer choices underneath!
So then it would be the second answer choice correct? @campbell_st
is there any other information in the question...?
Yeah look at the post i did before I gotten a response! That shows the answer choices for this question but no there is not any more information that is included in this question! @campbell_st
ok... well I looked at the graphs... and non seem to fit my thoughts for the question... my thinking is the last question... only because it contains the 1st point (1, -3)
oops last answer...
ok hey can you help me on one more question? @campbell_st
its similar to this question! @campbell_st
The question is asking you to plot the sum of a geometric sequence the sequence is -3, -4,5, -6.75, -10.125, -15.1875, -22.78125 ok, the points are (n , sum of the GP) 1st point (1, -3) 2nd Point (2, -3 + 4.5) = (2, -7.5) 3rd point (3, -7.5 + -6.75) = (3, -14.25) if you continue the pattern you should get all the points and then be able to match the graph
the terms in the sequence are found by \[-3 \times (1.5)^{n -1}\]
So it would be the 3rd answer choice! @campbell_st
of the 4 choices you posted at the beginning... my choice would be the last one... it contains the points I've calculated.
