@Nurali @agent0smith @nikato @iPwnBunnies @iambatman

OpenStudy (nikato):

SOH CAH TOA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what's next ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are the ratios of sinx and cosx?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin - opposite/hypotenuse cos - adjacent/hypotenuse tan - opposite/adjacent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 is the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sqrt 119 is adjacent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright so X has the opposite side XZ, and the adjacent side is YZ and your hypotenuse is XY. You just have to use the ratios, everything is given :d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm still confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now do the other.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we don't what's sin right ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin is x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and cos is x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sinx sintheta same thing lol, I was being lazy with the notation :d

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

|dw:1398552357910:dw| keep in mind that, the "adjacent side" is always next to the angle in question, thus is "adjacent to it" and the "opposite side" is always on the opposite side, or "facing off" the angle in euqestion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ Beautiful :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh btw with jdoes drawing, and your picture your opposite side is ZY, and adjacent is XZ, so sinX = ZY/XZ.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Shay17 Do you understand jdoes explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure but sinX=sqrt119 and cosX=5 ???
