857 x 4

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

First multiply both sides by z-2

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

as suggested ---> \(\bf z-2=\cfrac{y^2+4z-12}{z-2}\qquad {\color{red}{ \times (z-2)}} \\ \quad \\ {\color{red}{ (z-2)}}\cdot z-2= \cancel{\color{red}{ (z-2)}}\cdot\cfrac{y^2+4z-12}{\cancel{z-2}}\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm what did you get on the left-side multiplication? for (z-2)(z-2) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = y + 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm idk but I know that answer you left isn't correct apparently

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, the idea being, that you have to, as agent0smith suggested, multiply both sides by (z-2) then simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 y^2 + 4(z-3)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

(z-2)(z-2) ? well.. use FOIL or just simply multiply both sides straight, to get the product
