a process in which carbon is released back into the atmosphere

OpenStudy (zale101):

there's a lot of process that causes carbon to get released into the atmosphere...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

respiration, combustion and photosynthesis

OpenStudy (somy):

i agree with respiration and combustion (of organic compounds), but photosynthesis is Not releasing CO2, instead it uses CO2 to combine with water to form glucose, also decomposition partially does release C but not into atmosphere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

during photosynthesis the cells that carry out the process use energy! and where does that energy come from?....respiration. and what else is released during respiration?....CO2.

OpenStudy (somy):

yes thats right, but the C is still Not released From photosynthesis, its used instead

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok you're right lest just say it takes in more than it releases!:) ok ?

OpenStudy (somy):

lol well i don't really want to argue but still no :D coz there is no way C is released during photosynthesis, this is as far as i know :]
