b. Describe the journey of a single oxygen atom from water in photosynthesis?

It enters the plant through the roots! during photosynthesis the water is split into hydrogen and oxygen in the light-phase. the oxygen atom then leaves the plant through the stomata on the leaves.

More Information: During the Light Reactions in Photosynthesis, the water is "split" into photosystem II and oxygen is evolved and goes into the air. And during Dark Reactions, carbon dioxide (CO2) is brought in and is "fixed" to the molecules, eventually producing glucose(C6H12O2).
