Do similar circles share an equal radius and arc length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why is that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u pay attention in ur math class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all circles are similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No @mathstar I just take a nap in that class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i dont think having a nap helps you with math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hanzi but does that mean that they would share a similar radius and arc length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rather than asking me if I pay attention in math how about you explain to me why similar circles have unequivalent arc lengths and radius's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no @DragoniteJ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it is not a necessary condition, but, circles having similar radius and arc length are also similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathstar12 Chill out. All circles are similar to one another, DragoniteJ If 2 shapes are similar, one is simply an enlargement of the other...but with the same dimensions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in similarity, shape matters not size

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now come on give me a medal ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Similar, means that the dimensions are proportional, but not (necessarily) equal.
