OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did tan 40 oops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

tan(20)= 0.36 0.36=x/4 0.36 * 4 = x x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but when i did 4*tan(20) i got 1.45 and then it says to round to the nearest 10th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, so round it. 1,2,3,4 round to the previous ten, for example 44=40 (not 50) and 5,6,7,8,9 round to the next ten, for example 38=40 (not 30)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you are rounding the .45 to .5 b/c 45=50 (when you round the 45)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 1.5 then

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes :)
