What is the solution to the following inequality? 3(x - 3) ≤ 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 3, then add 3. the sign does not change since no negative value is divided or multiplied...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x ≥ 2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try again :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember, DIVIDE first, then ADD...remember order of operation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the sign doesn't change so would it be 2 but the sign facing the other way or 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 4 with the same sign
