Can someone please edit my prayers on thanksgiving and praise?

THANKSGIVING: being grateful for the gifts of life and love
PRAISE : admitting that God is all-knowing, all powerful and all loving

(preferably Christians)

*my prayers need to original it's for a religion assignment*

Dear God,
Thank you for blessing me with supportive people in my life.
It makes me realize that you understand that I need others to stand by my side.
I would also like to thank you for blessing my family with a roof over our heads and food on our table.
I will always be truly thankful for all the blessings you have given me.

Prayers are usually for asking for help/guidance or praising him.

The 1st one you are both asking for his help(blessing the food) and praising him.

The 2nd one shows examples of both aswell.

They are short yet good prayers.

The best prayers are ones coming from the heart, asking for help for your personal needs or ones for your family or friends needs. Also good prayers that come from the heart and show praise(of course) but using personal troubles that God helped you with such as you had an addiction problem and God helped you overcome it. You can thank and praise God for this. This shows that you recognize his help and it really does make a prayer better when you add a bit of yourself into it.

what we need to do is create our own original prayers and then present it in a creative way. I'm presenting mine in a prayer booklet/pamphlet

Only change that I would see is in prayers you should not only ask for help/guidance for yourself, but for others aswell. The 2nd prayer you talked about yourself and others. But in the 1st prayer maybe you should add in things about other people. I know you talked about the supportive people in your life but you can talk a bit more about how(for example), blessing economy, helping the poor, etc

Heres a suggestion

Instead of: I would also like to thank you for blessing my family with a roof over our heads and food on our table.

You can say: I would also like to thank you for blessing millions of people around the world with a roof over their heads and food on their table.

Talking about other people in your prayers also shows that you care about other people aswell, not just you or your family and friends :)
