The area of a rectangular garden is 48 square feet. If the width of the garden is 1.5 feet, what is its length, in feet?

Miracrown (miracrown):

To start, do you remember the formula for the area of a rectangle?

Miracrown (miracrown):

for a rectangle or square it is length x width. sound familiar? ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the area, and do the opposite of multiplication (division) with 1.5 feet. So, your formula would be: 48 / 1.5
