hartnn (hartnn):

volume of cube = length * width * height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can something explain to me how to do this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im just multiplying them?

hartnn (hartnn):

here, length = 16ft width = 9ft height = 4ft

hartnn (hartnn):

yes!, just 16*9*4 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15x15x21x15?

hartnn (hartnn):

naah, thats not a cube

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do that one?

hartnn (hartnn):

can you tell me what it is ? a cylinder or a pyramid or a cone or ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pyramid?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes! and you know the formula of a triangular base pyramid ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :/

hartnn (hartnn):

when you know height, and area of base, its V = (1/3)*Area of base*height so we first need to figure out the height using pythagoras theorem!

hartnn (hartnn):

|dw:1398687989687:dw| can you apply pythagoras theorem there ?
